Gyngell / Gingell family tree
Following some further research by Stuart Gyngell, his branch of the family tree has been tracked back to James and Mary Gingell of London Road, Chippenham. James was born in Chippenham sometime around the turn of the 19th century. You can view the updated tree at -

I have a large oil painting signed "Arthur Gyngell 1902" of a North Wales scene. I bought this in Upton on Severn about 15 years ago and was told by the gallery that he was a Worcester artist who was quite well known locally as a Victorian landscape artist.Can you tell me anything more?
Correction- it was Albert, who I have found in the 1881 census in Worcester and who is listed as an artist!
