Francis Frith

I've started to add links to the Francis Frith photograph collection. Right now I've only done Wiltshire towns and villages, but you should see the Francis Frith logo appear in the place name listing when there are photographs available.

1901 census

I've been browsing through the 1901 Census for England and Wales, and there's a ton of information on there.

77 Gangells

Received an email from Don Lambourne in Australia. It's a spreadsheet of the 77 descendents of William Gingell/Gangell. It's going to take me a while to go through and read it all...

my inbox...

...currently has 50 pending emails for updates to the family tree. It's a bit of a nightmare. I pick off the easy ones I can immediately update and respond to, while others need a bit more time.

welcome to the blog

This is a new feature I've been wanting to add to the website for a while.

First off, what's a blog?

Blog stands for "web log" and for some reason it's abbreviated to blog. It's a kind of online diary or log, and it's very easy to keep up to update. The blog feature on this site is provided by www.blogger.com.

Right now, I'm spending a couple of hours a week trying to keep the family tree website up to date. I need a way to share news, progress and breakthroughs with the many people who are submitting their branches of the family tree.

With any luck, this will be the way forward, and I expect to update the blog every two or three days.
