I've started to save off some census records from the 1891 census. So far, I've done every Gingell family who a family member whose name begins with A or B.

Window on Wiltshire Digital Exhibition

I found this mini website today on the Wiltshire County Council website. There are over 200 photographs from Wiltshire, including -

Old Sport! looks at the social history of Wiltshire´s sporting life.

The Thrilling Thirties shows the changes that occured in that decade from cinema to motoring as well as the Depression and the moves towards war.

Wiltshire Breakfast shows the importance of agriculture, farming and food production to the County, and its changing face.

Crowning Occasions looks at the way Wiltshire people have marked royal events over the last three centuries.

Hat-trick of wins for landlord

A Carshalton landlord toasted his success after winning a competition to find the best kept beer in the country.

Trevor Gingell, who runs the Railway Tavern in North Street, Carshalton, with his wife Jacqueline, was voted master cellarman of the year by London-based brewer Fuller's for the third year running.
