Piece of history added to library’s local history collection.

The George family of Evanston donated their antique family bible to the Uinta County Library on Friday.

“This Bible will become the centerpiece of our local history collection,” said Dale Collum, Executive Director of the Uinta County Library, as he accepted its donation from the George family of Evanston.

The antique Bible was purchased in 1876 by David and Caroline Gingell, who became the first couple to be married in Evanston.

Does anyone know who this David and Caroline Gingell might be?

UPDATE : Sally Mahoney has confirmed this is David Gingell and Caroline Gage.

David Gingell was the older brother of my great-great-grandfather, Stephen Gingell. Thanks for posting this! Interesting, great pic of that Bible too.
