Piece of history added to library’s local history collection.

The George family of Evanston donated their antique family bible to the Uinta County Library on Friday.

“This Bible will become the centerpiece of our local history collection,” said Dale Collum, Executive Director of the Uinta County Library, as he accepted its donation from the George family of Evanston.

The antique Bible was purchased in 1876 by David and Caroline Gingell, who became the first couple to be married in Evanston.

Malcolm Gingell at RAF Ventnor on the Isle of Wight

Does anyone know the whereabouts of this Malcolm Gingell who was posted at RAF Ventnor on the Isle of Wight during his National Service? Malcolm would have been born around 1934 and came from Warmley in Bristol. He was posted with Geraint Hughes who kindly provided the above photo. Geraint would very much like to get in contact again with Malcolm, so please let me know if you can help.

You can view more photos on Geraint's Photo Album at -
